LoveGoBuy Parcel Insurance: Coverage and Claim Evidence

Before paying for parcel insurance, check the chosen route’s coverage, exclusions and claim conditions. Keep the shipment and packing records so you can document a loss or damage claim if a covered problem occurs.

Applies to: An insured LoveGoBuy parcel; other sellers and carriers have their own terms.

Check coverage before submitting the parcel

Parcel cover may distinguish loss, damage, delay and customs seizure. Route-specific compensation limits and the insured amount affect the maximum payout. Coverage is not automatic for every parcel or event.

Before choosing a route, check the premium, covered events, insured value, route cap and claim procedure. Save the terms shown for the route you actually select.

The US parcel review mentions insurance as an additional fee but reports no claim outcome. Use it alongside the total-cost analysis to keep protection charges distinct from the freight quote; the review does not establish coverage for your shipment.

Five questions to answer before buying cover

  1. 01

Is insurance available for this route? Check at parcel submission rather than assuming every shipping option includes it.

  2. 02

What events are covered? Compare loss, damage, delay and customs-related wording separately.

  3. 03

What amount is insured? Save the declared or selected value and any route cap; a payout cannot be assumed to equal every cost you paid.

  4. 04

What exclusions apply? Look for duties of the recipient, prohibited items, missed delivery and customs cooperation.

  5. 05

How is a claim started? Record the deadline, evidence and contact channel shown in the live terms.

Read the exclusions, not just the headline

Coverage can exclude events linked to recipient actions, missed delivery or failure to cooperate with customs. Delay compensation may be treated differently from a later loss or damage payment. Review the current wording for your route rather than assuming all delays or seizures are covered.

Customs connectionInsurance is not a substitute for accurate declarations or answering a customs request. See customs and taxes.

Collect evidence for the type of claim

For a missing parcel, keep the complete tracking history and any written carrier investigation. For damage, photograph the unopened exterior, shipping label, internal packaging and item before discarding anything. For a delay, record the route's stated time rule and the actual tracking dates. For a customs event, keep the authority or carrier notice and your submitted documents.

Parcel cover treats these events separately and may have exclusions. A stopped tracking page is not automatically a lost-parcel decision. Ask the service that sold the cover what evidence it needs and which event category it is reviewing, then keep the case number and response.

If you need to make a claim

  • Keep the parcel number, insurance selection and route terms.
  • Save tracking events, delivery records and any carrier or customs notice.
  • Photograph outer packaging and damaged contents before discarding them.
  • Contact the service that sold the insurance promptly and follow its current claim instructions.

A claim outcome depends on the purchased coverage and the facts of that parcel. This independent directory cannot approve or pay compensation.

Understand the limit and the decision

The insured value is a maximum reference, not a promise that every problem earns that amount. The current route terms, purchase of cover, cause of the issue and supporting documents control the result. A delay payment can be treated differently from a later confirmed loss or damage claim. Save the route-specific terms shown when you submitted the parcel, because options and limits may change.

If support denies or reduces a claim, ask for the applicable rule and the evidence used, then compare it with your saved terms. Keep customs and carrier correspondence together. This directory can explain what to check, but it cannot sell insurance, investigate a parcel or approve compensation.
